| Notes: | Conlab optimizes the particle grading of fresh concrete; including filler and cementitious material, according to an ideal grading. The objective of the program is to diminish the cement consumption of the concrete and in parallel, to increase the workability; i.e., lower the concrete cost and provide better working conditions at the site. Input data are particle grading of all materials, maximum content of puzzolans, moisture content and 28-day strength. The program then provides the optimised mix proportions and cost of the concrete. Repeated use then will give the lowest cost of alternative mix proportions. The basis for the program's operation contains about 500 empirical ideal grading curves and about 500 ideal grading curves obtained from the industry. The basis of the program has thus been used for about 10 years and Conlab improvements on that. Conlab project files contains mix proportions for fresh concrete; i.e., concrete recipies. |
